This design and build of an existing retail unit in Southampton spanned a 25-week programme and included the reduction of a derelict retail unit (4500m2) back to its original steel frame.
Substantial modifications were made to enable the construction of feature entrance ‘pods’ and the tailoring of the structure to suit the end user. This job meant a very high activity and interface with sub-contractors.
These works included the construction of the internal amenity blocks, M & E works to the retail areas and external works, all to run simultaneously.
The external package included piling, drainage modifications, the construction of a Garden Project Centre and car park re development for 139 spaces.
