The company recognises the need to operate the business in a manner which reflects good environmental management.
We are aware of the environmental impacts of our operations and will balance our business aims with the need to protect both the local and global environment. We are therefore committed to providing the necessary financial and personnel resources to fulfill Brennan Group environmental policy.
As a company, we will seek to comply with all relevant environmental legislation and, where practicable, will strive to achieve standards of environmental performance that are better than the legal minimum.
In 2008, we undertook a complete review of processes and procedures across the company so that compliance and accreditation is achieved against the following standards: Health & Safety OHSAS 18001, Environment ISO 14001and Quality ISO 9001. Planning started in August 2008, the team commenced work in September 2008 and the target for final accreditation is July 2009.
To support these environmental standards, we will provide the necessary training and support to staff to ensure that they are able to fulfill the commitments given in this policy statement.
Our Managing Director, Tom Brennan, is personally responsible for the environmental performance of the Group and this policy is signed by him in acknowledgement of his overall responsibility.
